
Pranam Chatterjee is a Co-founder of Kosha Sciences, where he brings deep expertise in generative biomolecule design and the translation of computational methods into therapeutic programs. He helps shape Kosha's approach to using AI to design new molecules and advance them toward experimental and preclinical validation.
Pranam is the Africk-Lesley Distinguished Assistant Professor of Bioengineering and Computer and Information Science at the University of Pennsylvania, where he leads the Programmable Biology Group. His research brings together AI, molecular engineering, and experimental biology to create programmable therapeutics, carrying ideas from computational design through in vitro and in vivovalidation. He has also translated scientific research into multiple biotechnology companies as a co-founder of Gameto, UbiquiTx, and AtomBioworks.
Pranam previously held a faculty appointment at Duke University and earned his SB, SM, and PhD from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology. His research has been supported by the NIH's MIRA Award and a Hartwell Individual Biomedical Research Award.
